On another subject, I had some curious questions about my “homage” to the men who took “La Pointe Du Hoc”, on D-Day in 1944.  La Pointe Du Hoc looked North over Omaha Beach and South over Utah Beach.  It was heavily fortified and supposedly had some major guns that could take out a Battleship at several miles.  La Pointe Du Hoc stood about 150 feet or more straight up, as both Omaha Beach and Utah Beach, as they meet at La Pointe Du Hoc  is a straight up cliff!  So it was left to Lt. Col James E. Rudder and teh American 2nd Ranger Battalion to scale the cliffs and kick the !#$$% out of the Nazi’s….
